We Opening of the RIDNE HUMANITARIAN FOOD HUB in Ghana
Initiative: “Food from Ukraine” by the Ministry of Economy
From supplying raw materials to building a global network of hubs
Ukraine is transforming the global approach to food security. Under the Food from Ukraine initiative, we are moving beyond traditional exports to create a network of international humanitarian centers. The opening of the RIDNE Hub in Ghana marks a strategic transition: we are no longer just shipping products; we are building the local infrastructure that serves as the foundation for regional stability.
Our Philosophy:
Creating a self-sustaining system that operates within the region, providing food produced in Ukraine or locally in Ghana using Ukrainian raw materials.
Why This Model Works
⚡️ Rapid Response Reserves and processing facilities are pre-positioned within the region, allowing for an immediate response to humanitarian crises.
📦 Optimized Logistics Ready-to-use food kits are assembled on-site, bypassing traditional logistical barriers and accelerating delivery to those in need.
🤝 Shared Value By combining Ukrainian resources with local capacities, we support the regional economy and foster long-term resilience.
“We are establishing a full-scale storage and processing infrastructure directly within strategic regions.”
— Denys Bashlyk, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine
Ghana: The Gateway to West Africa
The RIDNE model transforms the nature of aid. By choosing Ghana as a key entry point, Ukraine is shifting the focus from importing finished goods to establishing sustainable local production. This is a commitment to collective security and a new standard for international humanitarian cooperation.
