RIDNE at AGROEXPO 2025: How Ukraine Presented a New Model of Food Support for the World

In November 2025, as part of the 4th International Food Security Conference Food from Ukraine, the AGROEXPO 2025 exhibition took place — one of the year's key agricultural events, bringing together government delegations, international organizations, technology companies, and Ukrainian businesses. For RIDNE, it was an opportunity to show how Ukrainian solutions can work not only within Ukraine, but also in regions where food security is under threat.

AGROEXPO is a platform where the vision for global food security over the next decade is shaped — and where Ukraine's role in it is defined.

What RIDNE Presented at the Exhibition

1. Humanitarian Food Hub RIDNE (Ghana)

We publicly presented, for the first time, the concept of a Ukrainian humanitarian food hub in West Africa — a complex that will combine production, processing, packaging, and distribution of goods for the region's humanitarian needs. The project drew particular attention from African delegations and international partners, as it demonstrates a new approach to fighting hunger: building infrastructure rather than relying on one-off deliveries.

It was within the Food from Ukraine 2025 conference that Ukraine's Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture and Ghana's Ministry of Food and Agriculture signed a memorandum to establish a processing and distribution center for Ukrainian food products in West Africa — marking the first step toward building a network of Ukrainian agro-hubs across the African continent.

2. The "Seeds of Ukraine" Program

RIDNE presented its approach to breeding and preparing seeds capable of growing under water scarcity and high temperatures — conditions critical to many African regions.

3. A Model of Sustainable Production in Ukraine

We shared our experience implementing:

• no-till farming;
• nitrification inhibitors;
• efficient fertilizer use;
• the transition to renewable energy in production facilities.

These are solutions that help preserve soil fertility and increase the resilience of agricultural systems.

4. Social Support Formats for Communities in Ukraine

RIDNE also demonstrated how social centers and mobile formats operate in communities where people need access to essential goods.

Who Took Part

Within the conference, AGROEXPO 2025 brought together more than 50 stands of agricultural machinery and technology manufacturers and over 50 Ukrainian processing enterprises — from large companies to craft brands — alongside representatives of G7, EU, and African governments, international humanitarian organizations, and technology companies from dozens of countries.

The event became a platform for dialogue on Ukraine's role in global food security.

Participation in AGROEXPO 2025 was a reminder: Ukraine is not just Europe's breadbasket. It is a country capable of creating solutions that work for the world — even amid its own challenges.
